Nunit gui killed when detaching debugger in Visual Studio

When I switched from VS 2003 to 2005 everything improved except for one thing. Every time I hooked into the Nunit Gui process with the debugger, the process would die when I stopped debugging. I was pragmatic in my investigations into why this was occuring but none of my usual google machinations would reveal any advice on what to do about it. I was mostly pragmatic about it and continued on. However it bugged me (excuse the pun) way too much so I dove in further tonight after putting up with it for too long. Still no Google results but I found the problem. I was attaching to the nunit-gui.exe process with both managed and native options. I removed the native option and low and behold, I could detach without killing Nunit! What a life saver. Hopefully this post will help others in a similar predicament and now I’m back to debugging bliss!
